டன் பிரசாத்திற்கு 9 ஆம் திகதிவரை விளக்கமறியல்

இலங்கையில் தற்காலிகமாக தங்க வைக்கபட்டிருந்த ரோஹின்யா முஸ்லிம்களுக்கு அச்சுறுத்தல் விடுத்த டன் பிரசாத் உள்ளிட்ட 6 பேரினை எதிர்வரும் 9 ஆம் திகதிவரை விளக்கமறியலில் வைக்குமாறு மவுன்லேவனிய்யா - கல்கிஸ்ஸ நீதிமன்றம் இன்று -01- உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

01/10/2017 - MC Mount Lavinia.

Dan Priyasath and 5 others were produced at Mount Lavinia Magistrate court by the CCD for the unrest caused to Myanmar Refugees settled at UNHCR Facilities on 26/09/2017.

Suspects were remanded till   09/10/2017 pending investigation and until other suspects are arrested. Suspects Will be subject to an  Identification parade on 09/10/2017.

RRT Attorneys headed by Chinthaka Rankothge appeared for the aggrieved refugees and vehemently objected for bail. Further, court was informed of the pending cases and complaints against  Dan Priyasath and his violative conduct of bail conditions.

RRT Attorney's questioned  the police why ICCPR Act was not applied against these suspects since this is a text book example of offences under Section 3(4) of ICCPR ACT.  Police informed courts that after consulting Attorney General they will take the decision to apply ICCPR ACT against all the suspects.
