Complaints at Human rights Commission.

Eight Muslim parents of students of St. Xavier, Nuwaraeliya filed complaints with HRC on non release of their children's G.C.E Advanced Level (2016) examination results, which was with held without any given reason even after 14 days of releasing the results. This will be an absolute obstacle for these students to enter universities if they obtain the pass mark.

It is reported that this has happend in many districts and around 60 students'  ( mostly Muslim) results were withheld without citing any reasons.

Respondent on these complaints are ;
Commissioner - Dept of examination,  Zonal & Provincial education Directors, Chairman - UGC and Educational secretary of Central province.

RRT also contemplating a fundamental rights case in the SC with the rest of affected students.
