Saudi and Salafi connection..!

Much has been said about origin and history of Saudi Arabia. Recently Jaffna Muslim published some articles against and for Saudi establishment. People who argued for present Saudi establishment contented that Saudi Arabia has been a cornerstone of Tawuheed since establishment of alliance between house of Saud and Muhammed ibn A. Wahab.   No one should deny that fact that M. A. ibn Wahab had done a greater Islamic reformation work in pre-modern Islamic history. His contribution and role in the renaissance of Islamic theology should be made louder and should be appreciated by the entire Muslim world and yet, his shortcomings should be highlight and he reduced Islam into some rituals and pagan Arab traditions as claimed by Pro Abu Fadl who is an expert in Islamic movements and Islamic law. No doubt Muhammad ibn Wahab has faced some serious problems of his time. His challenge has been to purity Islamic theology from the clutches of dirty polytheism and religious innovations and I think he did a great job in this respect and yet, he reduced Islamic way of life in those aspects of Islam and ignoring Islamic way in all other aspects of Islam as a complete way for humanity. Islam is a complete way. Islam guides humanity in politics, economy, social life, and all aspects of life. There is no dichotomy in Islam between this life and next life or between religious life and worldly life. Yet, Muhammed ibn Wahab left the politics in the hands of politicians to rule the country that has been carved out from ottoman empire as they like and yet, he concentrated on religious aspects reformation. As if reformation of politics is not part of Islam. 

 No one denies that Mohamed ibn Wahhab did a good work in Dawa. But it was his own bro Suleiman ibn Wahhab who rejected his dawa first and foremost: He is the one who stood against him first. Read the book of Prof Abu Fadl on the origin and development of Salafi thought, which described the true picture of Salafi thought and how Wahhabism is rooted in Saudi and how Saudi used it for its politics.  Prof Abu fadl is an expert on Islamic law and he is hailed from a good Islamic family in Egypt. His Book is called Great theft: Wrestling Islam from Extremists:   We all know a good side of Wahhabism but we should also know how it has reduced Islam into some dogmas and rituals avoid of any spiritual sense of Islam. Do not you notice dryness of that hardship in those who follow this path of Islam?   For Wahhabism there is no such objective reading. They only take one side any given subject matter. When it comes Saudi they do that as well.  The entire world knows how Saudi messed the politics of Muslim world and how it failed in many issues and how it has been fooled by west for many decades and yet, defending Saudi just because Mohamed ibn Wahhab eradicated Bida and Shirk is not a good argument. Of course Mohamed ibn Wahab eradicated some bida and yet created many bida in Muslim world. No one can deny the fact that his group created unprecedented disunity in Muslim world. His groups have created fitna in each and every Muslim country today. For a simple religious issue, they have separated from the main stream Muslim community in many part of Muslim world. They have accused of many innocent Muslims with   disbelief.  No doubt they made a separation between politics and Islam. They made a separation between Islam and economy.  For them, following the Prophet Muhammad in politics is not a Sunnah or following prophet is economic life is not a Sunnah. For them it may be a Bida.  Prophet had 17 battles to establish Muslim community in Medina. Following him in this struggle to establish Islam in life is not a Sunnah for them. Rather for them the notion of jihad is confined in eradication of all bida. That is what they got from the teaching of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab. 

Some scholars argue that Wahhabism is the source of all extremism in Muslim world today.  They said Muslim world is in this pathetic condition because of Saudi’s support to all extremists in the Muslim world. For instance, Jihad groups in Afghanistan and Somalia are supported by Saudi.  It has been supporting all tyrants in Muslim world. For instance, Al-sisi who does not have any knowledge of Islam, compared to Morsi who is a Hafiz of Quran has been supported by Saudi just for its politics. 

        When Saudi government disagrees with any Ulama they jail them or chase them out of Saudi Arabia. This is clearly illustrated in the case of Sheikh Al Bani who was chased out of Saudi for his view about American invasion of Muslim lands. Sheikh argued that inviting American forces into sacred lands of Islam is not permitted in Islam and Saudi politicians did not agree with him and he was chased out of Saudi Arabia. Not only him many Islamic clerics were chased out of Saudi Arabia when they opposed Saudi politics. Is this Islam? Where is freedom and rights that Caliph Omer gave to people of Arabia. Of course taking about Omer’s politics would be a bida in Saudi today? 

Where is did Saudi ruling elites get this notion of kingdom? Is it from Quran or Sunnah? Did Prophet Muhammad establish this type of kingdom? Where is Sunnah in following prophet in politics today in Saudi? 

Did khulafa establish this type of kingdom? Where did Saudi ruling elites get power? Do people in Saudi like this dictatorship? Can you rule over people against their wish? Is a dictatorship from Islam?

Some people who want to see Islam as a religion like Buddhism or any other religions have reduced Islam into some form of ritualism. They only bother about bida and shirk and follow all non-Muslim laws in economics, politics and all other fields. is Saudi politics or Saudi economy is based on Islam? 

 If Saudi politics is based on Islam tell me where did it get these 500 princess to feed at public expenses? We all know history of Saudi politics and Wahhabism: the house Saud and M.ibn. A. Whahab made a marriage of convenience in politics and religion in early period of Saudi history. They agreed that M.ibn A. Wahab would not engage in politics and Saudi ruling elites would not oppose the religious works of Wahhabism.  That is why we see Wahhabis groups support Saudi always and Saudi government supports Wahhabism to protect its politics.  Whatever Saudi ruling elites do Wahhabism will support it as in case of American invasion.

Saudi spend billions in weapons each year...6 billion annually; Can Wahhabi clerics speak against it? No it is not possible. Of course it is not a matter of Bida to argue about it. Rather it is a political blunder of so called Muslim kings. Saudi princess loot public money and spend billions in western countries. See friends of devils who waste public money and yet, Wahhabi cleric cannot open their mouths? why it is not a matter of bida rather wasting of public money in the path of devils.

Who Said Saudi is an Islamic government? They punish poor Asian workers for petty crimes and leave westerners for any grave crimes? Prof T. Raman calls for international moratorium for Saudi capital punishment. Why it is because it is not fair to punish people without providing conducive Islamic environment. They punish poor Muslims and leave princes who loot billions of public money? Is this Islam you talk about?
