  2. There is no evidence that Islam is against full covering. If there is, prove! However, because of the present security concerns, it is advisable to show the face.

  4. It is very sad to see people who cover their faces according to Al Quran being criticesed by some, who, due to their personal wish, refuse to admit islam has ordered women from showing their body (including face). By doing this they eventually refuse to accept a verse of Al Quran which would result in going against the order of Almighty Allah. May Allah bring right information and correct pathto those....

  5. Quran (33:59) - "Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them..."

The word in arabic is "Jalabeeb of which singular phrase is Jilbaab which means a veil that covers from head including face. This is according to most prominent imaams to have born in earth although not by some latest graduates who calls themselves as they are only correct Islamic Followers.

  7. Face covering is a custom practiced by Arabs , It is not Islamic Obligatory rule according to the Majority of Imams, In srilanka this practice started recently after invasion of Wahhabism and Thableegh.

  8. Allah is all knower and wise. When he knew that there will be Identity Card, Passport , Security issues, He wouldn't have ordered the women to cover the face.
there is not a single authentic hadith that makes covering the face obligatory. On the other hand, we find several ahadith which prove that covering the face is not compulsory in Islam. For instance, once while the prophet was admonishing and preaching to a group of women after having admonished the men on the Id day, "...a woman having a dark spot on her cheek stood up..." seeking clarification on the subject the prophet was discussing. (Sahih Muslim, Vol. 2, Hadith No. 1926)
Ibn 'Abbas said to me, "Shall I show you a woman of the people of Paradise?" I said, "Yes." He said, "This black lady came to the Prophet and said..."

(Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 7, Hadith No. 555 Sahih Muslim Hadith No. 6571)

The Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said, "...The Muhrima (a woman in the state of Ihram) should not cover her face, or wear gloves." (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Hadith No. 1838)
During the day of Nahr (10th Dhul-Hijja), when Al-Fadl bin 'Abbas was riding behind the prophet on his she -camel, "...a beautiful woman from the tribe of Khath'am came, asking the verdict of Allah's Apostle. Al-Fadl started looking at her as her beauty attracted him. The Prophet looked behind while Al-Fadl was looking at her; so the Prophet held out his hand backwards and caught the chin of Al-Fadl and turned his face (to the other side) in order that he should not gaze at her..." (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 8, Hadith No. 6228)

Regarding Bro Zaith's Quran Verse for Justifying the Face covering

scholars, who insist that covering the face is obligatory for Muslim women, interpret 'al-idnaa' in the verse of the jilbaab (Al-Qur'an: 33:59) to mean, "covering the face". This interpretation is erroneous because the basic meaning of the word in Arabic is "to come close", as the well-known scholar, ar-Raaghib al-Asbahaanee mentions in his authoritative dictionary 'al-Mufradaat'. Some people claim that jilbaab is "a garment which covers the face". This too is a misinterpretation as it is contrary to the interpretation of the leading scholars of past and present as well, who define jilbaab as a garment which women drape over their head scarves (khimaar).

Allah Knows Best. There was nice video clip regarding this by Mufti Ismail Menk.

  10. Zeith yes I too agree with you bro... some people are pointing there own view in this matter. At the beginning I also had the doubt that does it compulsory a women should cover her body including face in Islam and then I got the Qur'aan verses and the authentic Hadheeths as well and it's much clear that women in Islam must cover their face as well. Somehow those who feel hard to do this are not accepting this and saying such by their own sense that's what the matter we worry... anyhow may Allah (SWT) guide us all into the right path Aameen...

  11. Here r the authentic Hadhees to cover the face. Allah has made some restrictions for male and female during Hajj or Umrah Pilgrimage. One such is that women should not cover her face. During pilgrimage which means it should be covered during non pilgrimage times.

Ibn Umar reported from the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) that he said: "A pilgrim woman should not cover her face, or wear gloves" . [Imam Al-Bukhari ].
If a pilgrim woman needs to cover her face due to the presence of alien men she should let her head cover hang down on her face as reported from Ayisha (Radiya Allahu Anha) that she said: "Men on camels used to pass by us while we were with the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and in the state of Ihram. We would cover our faces with our gowns when they passed by us, and then uncover them again" . [ Abu Dawood ].
