To charge the battery full the cost is only a sum of Rs 350/-In relation to usage of diesel and petrol this is extremely economical. The cost for one kilometre is just Rs 2/- Once the battery is fully charged if could run a distance of 160 kilometres
The car had been manufactured using the joint technologies of French ‘Renault’ and Japanese ‘Nissan’ master brains. It has numerous advantages like saving on fuel, environment friendly, cheaper cost and these factors have given the priority in manufacturing the Nissan Leaf vehicle.
The designing and commencement of the vehicle began in the year 2010.In the year 2011 it was classified as the world’s best electronic car very popular in America..Each car contains six ‘Air Bags’. Another significant factor is that the engine is soundless and runs very smoothly
However for pedestrians to hear that the vehicle is approaching a unique sound is emanated;which the designers in the manufacturing process had been successful. The agents for Sri Lanka is ‘EV’ Lanka pvt ltd and it is proposed to import just five cars at the beginning..
Good news but also bad news for the economical electrical problem in Sri Lanka. Government is watching waiting for the right time to charge more from its customers of CEB.
