Injustices against Sri Lankans by the Sri Lankan Embassy of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

July 2013.
Your
Excellency President Mr. Mahinda Raja Paksa
The
President of Democracy of Sri Lanka
The
Presidential Secretariat
Sri
Lanka.
Your
Excellency President, Mr. Mahinda Raja Paksa
Injustices against Sri Lankans by the
Sri Lankan Embassy of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This is
entirely about the problems, dangers and inconveniences being faced by the
improperly documented Sri Lankan workers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, during the Mercy
Period, 120 days till now, provided by His Excellency King, Abdullah
Ibnu Abdul Azeez.
As Your
Excellency is aware through medias and heard about the wild life of Sri Lankan
workers, who are unable to stabilize their current living working status there,
there are thousands of our good Sri Lankans living on roads, having no food or
water and even no fundamental facilities to perform the calls of natures. Since
the first day of beginning of the Mercy Period provided by the Saudi Government,
our people also started to do the needfulness through our well authorized Sri
Lankan Embassy to correct our people’s status at least to return to our mother
country, but there are thousands of our people in pending beyond the completion
of the essential paper works till now.
Because,
it is being served in our Jeddah Embassy on the basis of first bribe first
serve. It is hundred percent true and we are ready to prove it too
from our phone recordings between the officials and the poor citizens of Sri
Lankans, that the calls deal through the amount of bribe. It is very clear that
the bribes are being served negotiated lively from the Embassy driver to higher
personnel.
The
weight of the bribe decides the speed in getting one’s paper works completed.
Although it is bribed and agreed for a work, it is also suddenly changed or
postponed due to another heavier bribe. By this, there are our citizens in
thousands still straying everyday on the roads. If one hopefully goes to the
Embassy in the morning, by the evening the same one returns to his road, where
he is sleeping as a house, hopelessly. It is not for a day but continues
without an end till now for a person in fact.
What
reason other than the bribe can be there for not helping our poor citizens by the
Embassy although there are essential documents with the applicants? If one
fails to agree the amount of bribe to finish his or her works from the Embassy,
then the particular applicant, our citizen is being disappointed telling invalid
reasons for months. Unfortunately, if the person under the Embassy’s
disappointment is a female, then the bribe turns from money to sexual abuses.
Incapable innocent women are used for sexual abuses beyond religions and ages.
In order to get back to the mother country sooner, that poor women are quiet
and obeying to officers’ tortures with no other choice.
To
hear about the sexual abuses intercourses harassments in an Arabic country, it
may seem amazingly but it is also hundred percent true and we can prove it too
by resources if any. But it is well known about the Sri Lankan Embassy in
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia that it is operating its services through this sexual
industry or benefits instead cash payment for bribe by even other country nationalities,
who are taxi drivers there.
The
funniest thing in the sexual abuse is, the most beauties come first served
first. If the woman is not beautiful unluckily by her birth, then she is
not eligible even for the sexual abuse by them, so that as usual her works are
also getting late and in order to bribe them, the particular women are caused
to become prostitutes to earn and pay the Embassy as they have also not already
dwellings to stay safe.
Although the women under Embassy’s sexual
harassments are taken very privately to their Embassy staff’s personal rooms,
then and now this has been caught by the public and Saudis while the harassment
intercourses taken place near by the holly mosque’s premises located near to
our good Embassy. So that, after being caught for the third time, mosque
management ordered Embassy to change their Embassy location, as it happened
when I was there, I am not aware about the current situation of this location
change.
Pointing
out the strength of bribe, I can say about an incident that an officer of the
Sri Lankan Embassy was caught in person by the Saudi Government while playing
in their computer system. For the time being that officer, Mr. Osama has been
interdicted from the Embassy’s usual works operations.
Further,
I can point out a case that when the special officer, Mr. Niyas ( Former
Divisional Secretary and current Government Agent) from Sri Lanka visited our
Embassy, he had completed some works and given the usual officers asking to
process to deport the applicants, our
officers have put it back to the usual bottom of the files in order to process
their clients bribed, once Mr. Niyas left the Kingdom after his period was over.
Your
Excellency, all the black evil doings are happening due to our Embassy
officers’ irresponsibility and greed in earning more money in short period.
When we, the gentlemen of improper documented workers inquire about their
unfair treat, our files are put in the backward for months and we are sent to
prisons for tortures falsifying we were guilty and not obeying to the laws of
Kingdom.
Your
Excellency, for your view, I submit the below price list for bribes fixed by
the Embassy officers.
1) To
get the temporary passport- 500.00 -700.00 SAR.
2) To
register the Iqama(Kingdom’s Identity Card) number-200.00 SAR.

Your
Excellency, it is not just a writing, but the tears or the bloodshed from the
poor citizens of Sri Lanka. What we can give your Excellency is this, the rest
for taking severe action against these uncivilized illiterates damaging the
country’s well reputation is from your Executive Power only. We hope, you, the
Excellency being a poor itself will feel the pulses of the poor citizens.
top
range for bribes. This Embassy’s poor criminal act may prove the above survey
report if not taken any offensive actions. So that, it is upon your Excellency
to cut off the viruses against Sri Lanka’s reputation and economy.
Hoping
there will be a solution, revenge against these traitors, I am concluding my
small submission as a one of the victims of the above.

ReplyDeleteUtterly shocking.bro.. No pointing of pleading to the same corrupt people over here. Why can,t we bring to the notice of Saudi Authorities?
ReplyDeleteAlso, the names that you mentioned are all from our own communities. This reminds me that why we are being humiliated in our country. Unless we correct ourselves and take collective responsibility to bring these people to justice, we will pay a heavy price which already started. Masha Allah, you brought it to light. May Allah give you more courage and sincere Imaan.
Very ugly. These responsible persons should be brought under justice, when proven they should be given life sentence.
ReplyDeleteMr. Athem Lebbe must be appreciated for his courage. We need people like him to eradicate corroption.
What the hell the Ambassador and the 2nd Officials are are doing while these Haramies ripping off our citizens in Jeddah????????
Dear Viewers, and Athemlebbe
ReplyDeletemay be you are correct in some instances but since I am living in Jeddah and visited many times to Sri Lankan Consulate, Jeddah I have noticed that there were big crowd of Sri Lankans who all waiting to depart under the special amnesty granted by Saudi Gvt. and noticed that there are many staffs and specially the Consulate general were working very hard and very sincerely to help our poor men and women.
On 18th Aug 2013 I went to the Consulate for some attestation purposes and noticed that the officers were very busy and issuing temp. passport very quickly if they bring proper docs.
But may be some corruptions going under the table but Allah knows the best!!!
